An Inspiring Story of Coco Chanel – For you who are a fashion lover, you must be already familiar with a brand named Chanel. The brand’s name is taken from the founder; Coco Chanel.

Born as Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, she was not only the founder but also the designer for the brand.

She was the only one designer who was listed in Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the 20th century. Coco was not born in a rich family.

Her Dad, Albert Chanel was only a salesman. While her Mom, Eugenie Jeanne Devolle was a laundress. When she was a teenager, Coco Chanel was sent to an orphanage by her Dad because her Mom died.

While in the orphanage, Coco Chanel learnt sewing from the nuns. She even had worked as a tailor. In her twenties, she met Arthur Edward Capel, a British Polo athlete.

Capel offered Chanel to open a hat shop with a full funding from him. The hat business was a success until Coco Chanel opened a boutique named Chanel Modes in France.

Three years later, she opened another boutique in Deauville. Coco was brave to revolutionize women fashion trends.

She introduced the newest sporty fashion as well as casual chic style that contradicts the previous fashion limitation conventions.

Her creative business knowledge was expanding to jewelry, bags, and perfume. Even her typical perfume, Chanel No.5 is the iconic perfume product until now.

Coco Chanel was very innovative. She created fashion that had never existed before. From a sailor uniform with a tight skirt until a coat that makes the users looks slim and masculine.

One of her most famous masterpieces is the little black dress. An elegant and fancy black dress. This dress became a favorite of a lot of women and an indicator of the users’ social status.
